A project to establish model Pirivena villages has been prepared to create an ideal group of four with practical knowledge and capabilities to re-establish the unique link between the present weakening village and the temple . 

Establishment of these Pirivena villages to create a group of four physically and spiritually healthy people who will produce and contribute to non – toxic food. It is also hoped to create a group of people who will contribute to the enjoyment of righteous art and to make the Pirivena teacher students community exemplary Aryan researchers.

The state ministry of Dhamma School and Bhikku education and Hela suwaya ” Krushi Nana Sangamaya ” (Agrarian Association) have commenced awareness campaigns at the Pirivena level for this purpose. A pilot project is currently being implemented in the Mulatiyana education zone in the Matara District
